In the past I've built hybrid systems where we used traditional
schematics for the analog part of a system, and then a lisp based HDL
for the digital stuff.  We created "worm holes" between the two
domains, and glued it all together with the netlister.  Worked out
pretty well, except for techs who didn't grok the HDL.  You specified
what kind of bypassing you wanted on your power pins (cap vs bead and
cap), and all of that was automatically generated.
