Hmm, actually I'd want to have a concept of turning off each possible layer 
groping of blind / burried vias. I'm imagine linking that to an automatic 
control based on what layer I'm routing on though. (To avoid confusion when 
routing a given layer.. hide pads / vias "in front" / "above" that layer 
which don't actually touch it).

Perhaps then we really need to switch to the 3D oblique view with 
translucent layers, to properly visualise the via geometry ;).
