So I thought maybe the Element line wasn't right since it looks different from yours, so I changed it to

Element("" "Wiz812mj.fp" "U102" "unknown" 10 10 3 100 0 100 "")

And now it fails on line 74.
I'm getting more confused by the minute.

There are various different syntaxes which have been in use over the
years, and PCB ought to be able to read them all. It might be that some
have got broken.

I'm out of the depth at which I can just reply "off the top of my head",
so I'm afraid this will have to wait until someone can look into it in
more detail.

For now, just don't run the .cmd file which is screwing things up.

PS.. what PCB version do you have.
What gEDA version do you have.

(Both are relevant to the design flow).

Best wishes,

pcb --version
PCB version 20080202

I'm not running the cmd file, since pcb dies with the syntax error loading the board.pcb file. Do you know where the definitive description of the footprint file can be found? It's not land_patterns_20050129.pdf which is what googling wanted me to believe.

Thanks,
Jim.
