Is there a way to reproduce this reliably? If so, let me know how and
I'll try repeating it at this end.

Also, I probably ought to have asked for git SHA1 of the build you're
using - so I can make sure it is the same piece of code that I'm
testing. (Look at the top line of "git log" output).
