Re: gEDA-user: Introduction and some questions/thoughts on gEDA/gaf...

Hi Paul, Hi geda-users,

Thanks for the contributions! I have just stuck them into CVS. In
particular, I have:

* Put the jj-1.sym symbol into the "analog" symbol directory.

* Put the kmutual-1.sym symbol into the "spice" symbol directory.

*  Applied Paul's patch to gnet-spice-sdb.scm.

* I also modified spice-sdb so that it would correctly netlist
coil-*.sym. The problem was the the DEVICE=COIL attribute for the
coil-* symbols wasn't recognized by spice-sdb. Only DEVICE=INDUCTOR
was recognized. I have now changed spice-sdb so that it also does the
right thing for DEVICE=COIL.

* Note that I have *not* attempted to clean up the symbol directories,
nor have I created a new spice-device directory. I figure we should
have a larger discussion with Ales and everybody else if we decide to
do this. In any event, we can limp along with what we have right now
quite well.

Paul, please update your local gEDA distribution against what is in
CVS and give your patches a test drive. Others are also encouraged to
synch up with CVS and give the latest spice-sdb stuff a test drive.
Please direct all bug reports/complaints/flames to me.

Thanks,

Stuart
