Re: gEDA-user: Final call for testers
Thanks Charles and Stuart for trying to assist with my problem
installing "gerbv" from the iso
Various header and C files are in
"/usr/share/Gtk_1.2/gtk+-1.2.10/gtk" but there was originally no
"gtk-config" file anywhere.
That's a really odd way for your distribution to organize things. What
distribution is it?
Fedora Core 3 desktop
well, there should be a header file called 'gtk.h' (no "+" here,
sincesome OSes won't allow that in paths), and probably libgtk.la.
I have two versions of "gtk.h".
The first size 4155 appears in four places
in usr/bin/gtk+-1.2.10/gtk, home/colin/Gtk_1.2/gtk+-1.2.10/gtk,
usr/local/gtk+-1.2.10/gtk and usr/share/Gtk_1.2/gtk+-1.2.10/gtk.
The other "gtk.h" is size 5675 in usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk
The "gtk-demo" in usr/bin works OK but I think this came with gtk2.0.
Also both GIMP and the GTK version of PCB work so I think I must have
gtk 2.0
I can find no trace of "libgtk.la"
Since I don't actually need gerbv at the moment I think it best to
return to this problem at a later time. Thanks for your time
