I've recently managed to compile ParaGUI wrapper for Python 2.2 (it will
not compile out of the box). I am not sure how it will cooperate with
Pygame - there are some hooks in ParaGUI, which makes possible to integrate
ParaGUI with Pygame, but it will need some work.
ParaGUI itself seems relatively fast and stable.
If you want, I can publish the wrapper somewhere.
