I did take the plunge and managed to track down one
of the last Nokia 770 in my area (Nokia says they are
frantically manufacturing more and these will
appear in a few weeks)

I'm still trying to set up a Linux partition
on my computer to allow programming the 770,
but I will say that the display screen
is drop-dead gorgeous (800x480!!)

Let me know any pitfalls you find while
getting Python onto your 770, and I'll
return the favor.
