FWIW, I think PyGame could do with some better vector
drawing routines as well. Some of the algorithms used
by pygame.draw are rather rough-and-ready.

We have pyrex based bindings for AGG which can draw to anything with start address and stride.
They draw very simple SVG like scene.
We plan to publish them if someone is interested.
