All that's been covered VERY well.

If you ever want these programs written, DON'T talk about writing them -
WRITE THEM ALREADY!  Learn whatever languages it takes, Linux isn't like
windows.  No one is going to hold your hand and comfort you when something
isn't the way you want, you get told to FIX IT.  TTYL!
