However, accels for any menu action should be easily user configurable.
Sometimes, obscure actions can become common for special cases. This is
why I like the GTK (gnome?) way to set menu shortcuts on the fly. I often
take advantage of this in pcb. Unfortunately, the accels are not saved.

In addition, these are the standard accels I'd expect in every app
where applicable:

[CTRL-Z] --> undo
[CTRL-SHIFT] --> redo
[CTRL-F] --> search
[CTRL-R] --> replace
[CTRL-S] --> save
[CTRL-SHIFT-S] --> save-as
[CTRL-O] --> Open an existing page
[CTRL-P] --> print
[CTRL-A] --> select all
[CTRL-W] --> close current page
[CTRL-Q] --> quit the application
[F1] --> Open some kind of help window

And yes, these shortcuts should be drawn in the corresponding menu.
So the user can know about them without sifting through the manual.
