Well, it depends on the component, I think. For a NAND gate you  
probably want pinlabel to be invisible, and for a resistor maybe have  
pinnnumber invisible, too.

I use a gschem->SPICE->layout flow for VLSI, and I can imagine that  
some might want to see pinseq in that case (although for me the extra  
clutter isn't worth it).
