Re: gEDA-user: windows testers wanted

Hello, all:

Windows Version: 7 x64 SP1
Mouse type: Microsoft Intellimouse with scroll wheel
Trackpad: None (Desktop)

Z/z keys work without clicking in the area first. A note however: If the cursor is currently not in the layout view frame, the zoom does still occur, but only on every SECOND press of the key. I assume some focus issue, but I just thought I'd include it for your reference...

The menu still works (selecting View/Zoom In(Out)...), but I figure that makes sense given that the keyboard shortcuts work.

Thanks for a great product - and let the list know if we can help with more Windows troubleshooting - it's probably the only thing holding my team back from using it more (some of my colleagues are afraid of Linux...)

Thanks!

We're trying to track down the zoom bug. If you have access to a
windows machine, please try this PCB snapshot:

The key thing we're trying to find out is if the "zoom bug" is
XP-specific and/or hardware-specific. Please try zooming and report
back:

* Version of Windows (xp, vista, 7; 32 vs 64 bit) and mouse type

* Whether Z/z keys work, and if you have to first click in the work
area to get them to work

* Whether your mouse scroll wheel zooms (if you have a real scroll wheel)

* If zoom/pan "bars" on your trackpad work (and if it's synaptics - we
   know that's broken)

* If zooming doesn't work, can you still zoom in via the menu
(remember to click on the pcb after choosing this) and pan with the
   scrollbars?

Thanks!
DJ
