Trying to follow a path through crowded graphics is not my notion of  
an efficient method. Rendering isn't going to be the bottleneck:  
visual comprehension is the problem.

I do hierarchical designs with gschem routinely. VLSI would be  
impossible without them, and I also do PC boards with many identical  
mixed signal channels. What's the big deal?
