Re: gEDA-user: What is the standard of gEDA tools and PCB
If I am trying to evenly space a series of traces its easier to type
each position then to get a sensitive mouse (resolution 1 mil) when
needed grid is say 8 mils. Also its a factor of the zoom of the screen.
Can you hold the mouse on the correct grid position while you are
clicking? Every time? Every zoom resolution? Long Traces?
Try it.
Draw ten vertical lines each 2000 mils long. Make the starting and
ending Y values identical for each line. Space each line at a pitch of 8
mils.
Then use a text editor. Open up the project.pcb file and add an addition
10 vertical lines of the same specification. My experience is that I can
do it several times faster in a text editor with a lot less frustration.
Your results may very.

Sorry, but I realy didnt understood why the line doesnt draw where you
want, the only problem I figure is when you draw in a grid like 5 and
you want a line 3 mils far... Then is just a problem of grid size.
