Maybe more important is to figure out whether this needs to be fixed.
The effect that results is an irritation rather than board breaking.
If it did result in a short the netlister would detect that.
Unconnected copper is not normally a major problem (but looks messy).

Is unconnected copper detected by the DRC? Is there a way to delete an
entire line instead of just a segment?
